Quart Phone 75X

West Germany, 1988. Fully restored: wiped the drivers, secured them, washed the grilles, installed a new damping layer and new cup suspension bands, washed and cleaned the headphones and cable, and fitted new excellent earpads that are a perfect match for them in design, comfort, and sound.

100 ohms, 6.3 jack; I’ll include an adapter to 3.5. They need a powerful source, at least half a watt into 32 ohms. They sound fantastic

Xinon A-HD9200

That’s what their creator decided to call them. Handmade, assembled in Belgrade.

Bamboo cups, like the Denon AH-D9200; the headband is the same as theirs, but a little simpler; natural leather earpads in the same style as Denon’s; detachable cable; and the heart of the headphones—the drivers—are golden AliExpress clones of the Denon AH-D9200 drivers. The result is a pair of headphones between the 7200 and 9200 that sound excellent in terms of balance, and simply very good through a regular 3.5 connection.

A good hard case is also included

Sony mdr Z7

Made in Japan; once flagships, closed-back. Powerful, solid construction: metal, leather, plastic. I fitted natural leather earpads. 3 cables included: original Sony balanced, regular 3.5, and regular balanced 4.4. Huge 70 mm drivers. Plenty of reviews online; they cost $700 in 2014.
