Zen flute

Contemplative classic...

An instrument called Zen-Flute

With a deep, meditative sound. It is wonderful to notice the breath, the finest nuances of the melody...

Inhale — a moment and a sound is born. Inhale — a moment... And it leaves, dissolves... You blow out a melody, leaving nothing but the melody... How wonderful not to possess!

This instrument is made in the classic style of the workshop:

A transverse flute with an Indian-type fipple, specifically its ancient variety, characterized by an oval shape that makes it easier to smoothly produce sound with its tangible density.

Pentatonic tuning, as in shakuhachi flutes, hence a very vivid Japanese color of sound, evoking ancient Zen and Taoist parables...

The hieroglyph “Dhyana” (also Zen, Chan, or Contemplation) is pyrographically applied to the flute.

The instrument is very easy to learn and play, but has enormous potential for sound research and sound production, and of course, the contemplative aspect is very pronounced.

The flute really returns you “to the present.”
